Through close reading of published works and guided writing sessions, you'll develop essential techniques for identifying meaningful experiences and crafting them into compelling 300-word stories. You'll learn how these concentrated pieces can work both independently and as part of a larger whole, while receiving constructive feedback from your peers on your developing manuscript. You'll explore various approaches to structure and revision while building a portfolio that showcases your unique voice. This course is ideal for writers looking to hone their brief narrative skills or explore an innovative approach to personal storytelling with an eye towards brevity.
