🆆 [Replay] ⏰ Live 10-Minute Guided Micro Prose Writing Session #3

Get ready to write! | 10 minutes of guided writing starts now

I am getting the hang of our live 10-minute micro prose pop-up writing sessions on Substack, and to take a page from Crazy Rich Asians, I need to work on my optimal angle (which is clearly not the ones I’ve had in this or past sessions). But … who cares?! We are here to write! And we did!

This is what one participant wrote:

I would have never thought to write the piece I created on my own.

That, my friends, is what these sessions are all about. ✍️

Attendance to the live session is free; the replay is a bonus for paid subscribers so you can get some writing done even if you missed the live session.

Free and paid subscribers receive a notification when I’m live on Substack, and I’ll also announce our pop-up writing sessions in the chat, usually 12-48 hours in advance. I will also post the week’s pop-up in the weekly Micro Monday post.

Don’t worry if you join mid-way through or even at the last minute—you can still get some focused writing done in a short period of time.

How it works

You can drop in exactly at the start of the writing session and leave right after, so you’ve only taken 10 minutes out of your day.

I join 5 minutes prior to say hello and hang out 5 minutes after to answer any questions and share a tip or two about writing/organizing/living your micro. We'll start promptly at the designated start time, and I'll let you know when you have one minute left.

When the 10 minutes are up, you're welcome to sign off or hang out for a few minutes to ask any follow-up questions via the live chat. Latecomers are welcome: the prompt will be on the screen along with the countdown timer.

I'm attaching a Table of Contents template you can use to track your micro pieces for Writer-ish on Substack. To learn more about how and why I use a TOC to track and organize your micro prose, join a class or the next Writer-ish writing session. All subscribers can access the TOC template here. Paid subscribers receive access to additional templates each week to help you build a body of work.

To view the video of the live writing session (and past writing sessions), please consider subscribing. It helps me keep the lights on so we can all keep writing.
