This was my first one for this month. Right now I am feeling good about it. The other times I have used your micro prompts, I am so surprised at how much good writing I get out of them. Even when I am not "in the mood" to write. What do you recommend for how often to do this? I am sure it depends on the piece you are writing. I write monthly essays for my Substack and I think I need to start using these micro prompts to write them. They seem to keep me on track too.
Once a week is a great goal; the Micro Monday is a good anchor since you know there will be prompt. I would then try for two more micro moments: join the Live Writing Sessions as often as you can, or catch the replay—that would be prompt #2. Then a third could be from the archives (start at the first Micro Monday and get caught up until now). OR … the junk drawer writing workshop on Substack starts next week, so you’ll get a prompt there, too! That can be #3 or #4. Not a huge amount of time out of your schedule to get 4 pieces a week! (But again, once a week is perfect, the rest is gravy!)
“Once your brain knows what you are up to, and what you are trying to achieve, it’ll get on board.” Love this. And hi Darien. New subscriber, poet, author, artist, and badass! Gah! Micro Monday is peeeerfect for me! Thank you!
Helllooooo Maureen! Welcome! I’m always trying to get all the bad ass women writers over for virtual coffee (or tea LOL), so I’m thrilled to have you here! 💃🏻
"The Challenging Path of Expression" 314 words.
Loved this prompt!
Terrific title, Brandi! How are you feeling about the number of micro pieces you’re generating this month?

Yay! Let me go share some of your badassery!
I will never say no to that! 🦹🏻♀️ Thank you, Maureen!
There is no one way. We just have to believe it.
Great pic and prompt!
Thank you, Nuria! You’re always welcome to share your title and word count in the comments, too!
EXACTLY. And then (wishing I could get some italics here) you got the book deal.
Ah, dear Beth, thank you! ⛕ The winding road ... we walk the path.
